Auditions/Try-Outs for the Northville Varsity and JV Dance Teams 2013-2014 season (incoming Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors as of the school year 2013-2014) are Tuesday April 23rd and Wednesday April 24th 2013 from 3:30-5:00pm in the NHS Auditorium. DVDs of the NHS Dance Team "Showcase at Tiffany's" performance on January 18th, are available to the public for $20. Make checks payable to Mary Beth Yakima, DVD in memo, and send to Mary Beth Yakima, 17672 Stonebrook Dr., Northville, MI 48168.

Varsity: 1st Place Hip Hop and 2nd Place Jazz with Choreography Award!

Congratulations to the Northville Dance Teams for their great performances at the UDA Great Lakes Dance Championship at Clarkston High School held on November 17th, 2012. So proud of all the dancers at their first competition of the season!!

The NHS Varsity and JV Dance Teams attended the 8th Annual Oakland Dance Festival at Farmington Harrison High School on November 16th & 17th, with master classes held by Michigan colleges with dance degree programs. The Varsity and JV teams both had dance pieces adjudicated by college dance professors and received positive feedback for their works. Several senior dancers had the opportunity to audition for college scholarships and acceptance into college dance programs.
Thank you to all of the NHS Varsity and JV dancers and parents who volunteered their time for the Plymouth Wicked Halloween Run again this year on October 28th. The race coordinators and participants appreciated your service to the community!

A parent and team meeting was held on Wednesday, April 25th at 7:00 pm in the NHS Forum. The attached Handout was reviewed and distributed to provide information about the Northville Varsity Dance Team.

Northville named NDA Grand Champions!
The NHS Varsity Dance Team took first place in both the Large Varsity Hip Hop and Large Varsity Jazz categories at the NDA Motor City Spirit Championship held on December 12th, 2010 at Birmingham Seaholm High School. The team also earned the NDA Grand Champion Banner, presented to the team with the highest overall score of the competition.
